Individual Psychotherapy
Therapy sessions are usually arranged weekly at an agreed time and day and in as much as possible this time will be consistent for the duration of the therapy. Sessions last usually for 50/60mins, psychotherapy/counselling can be short-term or long-term depending on the clients needs which will be assessed at the first meeting between the psychotherapist and the client.
Clients present with many different issues such as; panic attacks, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, stress, anger management, bereavement, separation, suicide issues, coping with an illness, basically any change or crisis that the client may need support in dealing with.
The team of psychotherapists working at the Centre are all fully qualified and would have areas that they specialise in – so when the client makes contact with the centre every endeavour will be made to select a Psychotherapist/Counsellor who will assist you in meeting and supporting your needs from the counselling sessions.
Although many Doctors do refer people to therapy, you do not need a Doctor's referral letter to come to therapy.
All therapists are accredited by IACP or IAHIP or both and would abide by the Code of Ethics cited by these organisations.
