Claire McCarthy

BA(hons) in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy,                                Certificate in CBT.

Claire graduated from IICP with a BA(Hons) in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy and has a strong belief in the power of therapy and the significant life changes clients experience when they truly get to know their past and present selves.

In sessions Claire uses a person-centred integrative approach, and offers a compassionate, confidential, and non-judgemental space for clients to explore their issues. Her training allows for a tailor-made therapy by acknowledging and respecting each clients individuality. Claire believes collaboration with each client key to effect change and will work with you to establish how to best support your needs. She is passionate about positive mental health and has experience working in both community-based setting and private practice.

Claire is trained to use evidence-based approaches and psychoeducation to work with, but not limited to; Anxiety, Stress, Depression/Mood/Emotional Issues, Suicide Intervention, Self-Esteem Issues, Relationship Difficulties, Workplace Issues, Sexuality/Gender Identity, Grief, Bereavement and Loss.
